Classroom Procedures 1. Students are required to participate in daily fitness warm ups and activities. 2. Students will take the FitnessGram and will be identified in the “healthy fitness zone” or a “needs improvement zone”. 3. During each unit teaching the skills will be strongly emphasized and not the score of games. 4. Those that do not wear appropriate footwear for P.E. will not be able to participate in activities and will be assigned an alternate assignment for the period. 5. If students cannot participate due to injury, a note from home or a doctor is required to excuse them from the days activities. 6. Students with a medical excuse will be asked to bring work with them for class. Three consecutive notes from home are allowed before a doctor’s note is required. Grading Procedures 1. Grades are based on class preparation (proper clothing and sneakers), daily participation/effort and skill assessments. Special Circumstances 1. If students go on vacation they must see Mr. T to receive their work to be completed. 2. Students will receive work to be done while absent. Work will be required to be turned in the first day back from vacation. Failure to turn in work will result in losing 10 points everyday absent. In some instances, homework will not be given out until student’s return from vacation.
